Operating Principle:
1. Pre-treatment Stage
The flocculated material is evenly distributed on the filter belt. Under gravity, free water outside the flocs separates, reducing the moisture content of the sludge flocs and weakening their fluidity. The dewatering efficiency at this stage depends on the properties of the filter belt, the characteristics of the material, and the flocculation effect of the sludge. Gravity dewatering removes a significant portion of the water from the sludge.
2. Wedge Pre-pressing Dewatering Stage
After gravity dewatering, the material still retains relatively high fluidity, which does not meet the requirements for the pressing stage. Therefore, a wedge pre-pressing section is incorporated between the gravity dewatering and pressing stages. Through slight extrusion, surface free water is further removed, significantly reducing fluidity and preventing the material from being squeezed out during subsequent pressing. This creates stable conditions for effective pressing dewatering.
3. Pressing Dewatering Stage
After passing through the wedge pre-pressing stage, the material enters the pressing dewatering zone, which consists of a series of rollers arranged in descending order of diameter. As the roller diameter gradually decreases, the pressure on the material progressively increases. Simultaneously, shear forces are applied as the material passes over the rollers, removing most of the saturated water and completing the final dewatering process.
