Nuclear Industry Yantai Toncin Group Co., Ltd. provided six thickeners with a diameter of 25 meters for the fourth phase of the Lupoto mining area project. These devices were shipped on April 17, 2024 and completed installation and commissioning by the end of July. They are one of the key equipment for the mining project.

Somika Company was founded in 1997 and began mining copper and cobalt in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2001. Its copper cobalt mining area is located in Katanga Province. Somika is a leading producer of high-quality cathode copper, cobalt hydroxide, and sulfuric acid. Its central facility covers an area of 120 acres and is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories that operate 24/7 to conduct quality inspections and facilitate rapid delivery. We have built a 22 MW substation to supply power to Somika and its neighboring communities. We mainly purchased ore from three high-yield self owned mines, developed end-to-end wet metallurgy business, and delivered over 3000 tons of cobalt hydroxide and over 30000 tons of cathode copper. This project has entered the fourth phase of construction, mainly using CCD washing thickener to extract copper ions through overflow.

Our supplied thickener equipment models are as follows: Phase I: 3 sets of 18 meter GNZ-18 thickeners and 3 sets of 22 meter+GNZ-22 thickeners; Phase II: 5 sets of 30 meter GNZ-30 thickeners; Phase III: 5 sets of 32 meter GNZ-32 thickeners; Phase IV: 6 sets of 25 meter GNZ-25 thickeners.
