Principle
The long program control working mode of the vertical filter press has six processes: filtration: pumping into the material suspension; Primary diaphragm extrusion: extrusion to form a filter cake; Filter cake washing: clean water washing and filtering; Secondary diaphragm extrusion: re-extruding the filter cake; Filter cake blow drying: high-pressure air blow drying to take away a small amount of moisture; Filter cake discharge and filter cloth washing: the filter cake is dropped on both sides, the material is discharged, and the filter cloth is washed at the same time.
The short program control working mode has four processes: filtration, diaphragm extrusion, filter cake blowing and drying, filter cake discharge and filter cloth washing.
① After the filter plate frame is closed, the slurry enters each filter chamber through the slurry tube. The filtrate enters the filtrate chamber through the filter cloth, then enters the filtrate hose, and finally reaches the filtrate tube
② Once the diaphragm squeezes high-pressure water through a high-pressure water hose and enters above the diaphragm, the diaphragm squeezes the filter cake towards the surface of the filter cloth, thereby squeezing the filtrate out of the filter cake
③ The filter cake washing solution is pumped to the filtration chamber through the same path as the slurry; Due to the liquid filling the filter chamber, the diaphragm is lifted and water is squeezed out from above. The washing liquid flows into the discharge pipe after passing through the filter cake and filter cloth
④ The washing solution left in the filter chamber after the washing stage is squeezed out using the method described in the second stage
⑤ The final drying of the filter cake is completed by compressed air. The air entering through the distribution pipe fills the filter chamber, lifts the diaphragm, and discharges the high-pressure water on the diaphragm from the filter. The airflow through the filter cake reduces the moisture content to the optimal level, while emptying the filtrate chamber
⑥ After the drying process is completed, the plate and frame components are opened, and the filter cloth drive mechanism begins to operate. The filter cake on the filter cloth is discharged from both sides of the filter machine. At the same time, the washing device installed in the filter press flushes both sides of the filter cloth to ensure consistent filtering effect without the need for any additional devices
The vertical automatic filter press uses the functions of high-pressure extrusion and high-pressure air drying to press out the filtrate in the slurry and achieve solid-liquid separation. It also has three major functions: washing, dehydration, and air drying
The common feature of vertical filter press, horizontal filter press, and belt filter press is the pressure difference formed by the filter cloth, which allows the liquid to be dialyzed out through the filter cloth, while the solid is intercepted and blocked by the filter cloth, commonly known as "dehydration". But different types of filter presses have different ways of filtering the filter chamber, so the best way to distinguish them is to look at their filtering structure.
The difference between vertical filter press and horizontal filter press is that the filtration structure of both forms of filter press is composed of orderly arrangement of filter cloth blocks, but in different directions. Horizontal filter press is placed vertically, while vertical filter press is placed horizontally overlapping. There is also a difference in filter cloth. The filter cloth of a horizontal filter press is made of square filter cloth one by one, which means that there are the same number of filter cloths for every number of filter plates. The filter cloth of the vertical filter press only has one piece, which is a filter cloth belt connected at the beginning and end, shuttling back and forth between each vertical filter plate.
